It looks like SueSue and I were super busy but...Rusty and PatPat worked there rears off. We can't wait to show off the new bigger booth. You know what a bigger booth means...more stuff!!! We have so much coming to September Canton. Brassy also has a surprise...You will only find out if you come to Canton. Check out the lighting, the painted floor and some swings!?! We can't wait to see you:)

Check out these Cuties

Captured Whispers really captured our clothing on some cuties.
This was made out of completely recycled stuff....it was featured on Oprah's website!!!!
Just thought I would give you a sneak peak at all the fabulous things you can find at Frisco Mercantile.
There is the most adorable children's clothing store (which happens to be owed by my friend Tammy), The Feathered Frog with amazing furniture at a great price, seasonal decor that is so different than anything I have seen, and the Phunky Pheonix which has rare vintage finds. In the short amount of time BB has been selling there we have LOVED looking at everything and buying our fair share:) The Frisco Mercantile is off the south east corner of Main and Preston. Stop by, shop, find treasures.

August Canton and Beyond

The theme of this Canton should have been a coming home party - a story about trying something new for a couple of months, only to realize that the place you had all along was the best thing for you. It fit our style perfectly so we made the decision to return. They welcomed us with open arms even though they called us the prodigal children. The themes for August 2010 First Monday Trade Days were Hot!Hot!Hot! and Happy Birthday SueSue!!

Our Walkway on the Creek family-celebrating with cake. We figured we had burned a couple calories.

Every single day reached well above 100 degrees so I don't blame you if you didn't venture out for this month. If you did, however, you were greeted with 1/2 pricing and in-process transformation of our new booth in Canton's walkway on the creek.

1/2 off in August- even the sign was droopy from the heat
Settling in.

Ya'll we are excited. Not only are we going to have the cutest clothes in September and great prices, but our new area is going to be great. We are going to have more space, more dressing rooms, more clothes, more furniture, more jewelry, sitting areas, music. The space is going to look great and we can't wait for you to see it.

Our lead interior designer working out her plan for the booth and stealing along the way...note the wallet to her left.

So please come visit us at our new booth in Walkway on the Creek and if you didn't know we moved in the first place, then just come back and see us again. We can't wait to show you what we got.

LA's Fashion District

Several months ago we decided that we needed to try something new with Brassy Blueberries. Los Angeles has a fashion district and we decided that we needed to check it out so that we could be sure that we were getting the latest fashions for our customers.

Fortunately, Rusty's business does occasionally take him to LA and this time around, SueSue and I decided to tag along. He did not know what he was getting himself into. We arrived at the airport with two suitcases each (to carry our treasurers back with) and somehow (this time) finagled getting Rusty's flying status for all of us so that we didn't have to pay for the luggage (a little foreshadowing).

We arrived in LA, Rusty left for his meetings and SueSue and I immediately hit the ground running. For the next few days, we would not be disappointed. There were blocks and blocks of designers all showcasing their styles and we must have visited every single one of them. And let me just tell you that we are so excited about what we have found and can't wait to show off the clothes at Canton in September.

This area had so many in's and out's you could get lost

After a day full of shopping, we left for dinner that night. It was Rusty and I's eighth anniversary and we decided to have dinner that night in Hollywood at STK steakhouse. We found out that the night after, Kim Kardashian rented the entire restaurant out, so we barely missed that celebrity. We did however, see Steven Tyler from Aerosmith two booths over. He was a lot shorter than I had thought.

The next day we hit the shopping hard again, this time focused on the designers we hadn't seen and accessories. Rusty met us after lunch since his afternoon meeting got cancelled. He later said,"I don't know how you do this". On this particular day there happened to be a jewelry store robbery nearby, so helicopters and police cars were everywhere. After yet another long day, we decided to meet up with our friends LC and Audrina in Malibu for dinner. Just kidding about the LC and Audrina part, but dinner in Malibu was fantastic as we sat and enjoyed our dinner as the waves crashed over the rocks nearby.

The next day we headed back with all of our luggage in tow. We had originally got a ticket counter person that apparently loves his job. He definitely was not overzealous about customer service and was less than helpful. We went from having to pay for two bags to somehow managing to condense our luggage down to two less bags in about thirty minutes. Needless to say our carry-ons were full.

I was really happy about the trip and look forward to doing it again.
